Last week the Bed Bandits team got together to do one of our favorite things - donate toppers!
Patrick Turner, Paul Conyers, Intern Michael Hibbs, Maria Frediani and I (Bianca Frediani) went to the Elizabeth House in Oakland, California to donate 8 mattress toppers and some children's books. We are so proud to be working with such an amazing place.
"Elizabeth House is a residential transitional program for women with children who have experienced homelessness, violence, addiction, and/or poverty. We provide a nurturing, cooperative environment with resources that aid their transition to independence." Elizabeth House
The Director of the Board of the Elizabeth House, Samantha Schell, welcomed our team with open arms. She gave us a tour around the home that has changed so many lives. She also gave us a very candid interview about how the Elizabeth House has helped families get back on their feet. Thank you Samantha for letting us help the mothers and children you serve.
We hope the families get a better night's sleep with our toppers so that they can feel more rested and ready to conquer the days ahead of them. If you are looking for a well deserving place to donate clothes, books, toys, or your time go to the Elizabeth House in Oakland.
