James Durbin Entrepreneurship Speaker Series

I never thought I was capable of being an entrepreneur, but somehow it just happened. Now Patrick and I are invited to speak at the Holy Names University James Durbin Entrepreneurship Speaker Series. We are so honored to have the chance to speak to people about how we followed our dreams. As I start to think about what we could possible say during such an important speech, I can't help but reminisce about how we got to where we are today…

I am th challenge. Well, with the failure rate of small businesses so high and the daunting task of making a difference in our great big world, I guess I could not resist the challenge. So I went home and pitched this crazy idea to my now fiancé- what if we quit our jobs and start our own company that gives back to others? He is a dreamer, so he did not take any convincing to jump on board. Instead of continuing to climb the corporate ladder, Patrick and I decided to take a risk. All it took was an idea and courage. My father said, “If you are going to fail, fail hard."
